During this period my group and I decided to choose Starship as our organisation. We are going to hold a raffle to raise the needed funds and the winner will receive a basket full of goodies.
We looked through the ‘Citizens Advice Bureau’ website and checked what we needed to do to hold a legitimised raffle.
We also worked out what we would put in the raffle
I am in a group with Jesse and Sam. This lesson we have agreed that we will be helping starship through a social action. We have chosen to raise money by holding a raffle and selling tickets although our teacher brought up with fact that we must make sure it is all legitimised, so we looked up on the CAB (citizens advices bureau) and looked through the conditions upon holding a raffle and feel as though we meet those conditions.
I am in a group with Jesse, Sam and my self. Our survey has had 47 anonymous replies. Jesse and I had posted the links to our personal facebook And we all asked family members to take the survey. We are currently processing the data and putting it into graphs and charts.
I have written my questions and will be interviewing my dad this weekend on his thoughts on social media.
I enjoyed this movie because it was about a true story so it was about actual events and actual people and their relationships with one another so it made the movie easier to understand, also even though the events may not of happened to the people watching the film the theme is still relatable to everyone in some way or another. This is one of the reasons I think this film is studied in class. Students are able to see these things from Michael’s point of view, it is easier to write about a film when you already have some sort of understanding. The theme that I related to best was the friendships. Through out the movie Michael gains more friends but to make room for these new friends he must get rid of the people who bring him down and have a negative influence on him. The friends that Michael makes through out the movie are people who support and encourage him wether it be with school work or his sports Michael has people who he can now rely on.
